His journey began in March 2021, and since then, he has climbed the ranks to become a proficient Blue Belt with a diverse skill set.

As a professional competitor and a Sponsored First Roll Athlete, Gio’s dedication to Jiu-Jitsu is evident both on and off the competition mats. His specialties range from gi and no-gi techniques to self-defense, sport Jiu-Jitsu, and competition-ready strategies. Gio’s expertise extends to coaching kids, instilling in them not just the technical aspects of Jiu-Jitsu but also the values of hard work, respect, and perseverance.

Among his arsenal of techniques, Gio’s favorite submission is the Choi Bar, showcasing his proficiency in applying both traditional and innovative techniques during rolls and competitions. His passion for the sport goes beyond the academy walls; in his free time, Gio can be found immersed in his Bible, connecting with nature, playing with his beloved dogs, studying and watching Jiu-Jitsu matches, engaging in CrossFit workouts, and lifting weights to further enhance his physical prowess.
